Sistema from FGW
Okay, I did receive the Colt Sistema that I ordered from Florida Gun Works. They did respond to my emails except for the last one which actually took a threat of pulling the order just to get the tracking number for FedEx.
I didn't know what to put into a post but just will put what I think.
Pros: Gun has all matching numbers except the magazine. That is to be expected. It does have the seal on the extractor side so it was made for the military / government.
Cons: It was reblued with that grey material (parkirized?).
It looks like it had been stored, without lube, on the left hand side. You can see where the rust pits were and for a gun made in the '60's (found that from the web), it shouldn't have been this badly pitted.
It came with uncle mikes grips (that finger notch type rubber). I had to replace the bushing and screws (grip) and put on a set of grips that I had in the holster/grip box.
All in all I'm alittle bit disappointed (paid for hand select), generally due to the pitting and the grips. The gun is tight and the barrel does have wear and tear due to corrisive ammo being used but it's not that bad. The safety's work so that is great.
The trigger sounds as if it is loose though and the initial pull is abit gritty but once you get passed the initial pull it's crisp. I may change out the trigger.
I checked the frame and the slide for cracks and didn't find any. The gun came to me dry as a bone so after I checked I cleaned and lubed it.
I haven't fired it yet but when I do I will post a range report.

Not sure if my color rendition is exact Wayne but here is mine in a pic for comparison.
Mine was a private sale and in pretty nice shape - and I have had the trigger tweaked just enough to get rid of a very minor ''snick'' it had thru the pull. I added the Chip' trigger myself but kept the original.
I hate the front sight but - want to keep it original.

I will get pics of the sistema and the SBR as soon as I pry my camera from my Mom's fingers (She loves it and only brings it back so I can charge the batt.
.
I will try to take close up of the pitting and the overall condition.
BBL with pics (this week sometime).
