    A S&W 38 Chief's Special in 1972.

Before that I had a 22 rifle and a 20 guage shotgun that my parents bought me when I was 12 years old. Now days they're still changing their diapers when they're 12 years old.

S&W Snub nose 38 in stainless. Terrible revolver to shoot. Rarely shot it. Sold it after 20 years for more than I paid for it to buy my first Glock. Never looked back.

A Winchester Model 190 .22 automatic, purchased new in 1971. Poured a lot of rounds through it and wore out the trigger assembly. Purchased another from Numerich, installed it, and proceeded to wear it out. The trigger was iffy so I traded it to a gunsmith friend, mostly to get it out of the way. Wish I'd kept it now.

A Mosin-Nagant 91/30 about 26 years ago. Bought it from a Rose's Department store to use as my first deer rifle. Paid about $60.00 to my stepdad to buy it for me, I was 15 at the time.

Taurus PT99 right about the time they first came out. Still have it and shoot it. It has been a great gun.

Browning BL22 in 1968. Hauled hay, cut tobacco, raked leaves & saved my report card money ($.25 per "A" from Grandpa) to buy it. You can BET I still have it!

First pistol was a Sig/Sauer P225 about 20 years ago. Still have it and still shoot it.

First shotgun was a Remington 11-87 12ga about 25 years ago, still have it and still shoot it.

First rifle was a 1903 Springfield 30-06 my grandpa gave me and I had "sporterized" with my lawn mowing money about 30 years ago. Still have it but don't shoot it much. Bought a Browning A-bolt, composite hunter in .300 Win Mag that I use now.

The first gun I bought for myself was a Glock G-23. I like my P239 better, but I'll never sell my Glock because:

    1. It's a great, reliable handgun
    2. It's my first love.
