    First gun you purchased

What's the first gun you bought for yourself? Do you still have it? Mine was a Colt Delta Elite, 10mm, Stainless. I still have it but rarely shoot it.

It was so long ago but it was a Harrington and Richardson 49er. A six shot single action revoler.

Ruger 10/22, followed very soon after by a Remington 870 Express.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Sig Sauer P226. It's a shame it fell to bottom of the lake in that boating accident

First firearm was a Browning BPS 12 gauge.
First handgun was Dan Wesson 15 2VH 6".
    Still have both.

I had a Savage Mark II, a Charles Daly 20g, and my XD9 given to me by my father, the former being my boy scout days and the latter when I was 19. The first gun I actually purchased on my own was a Century GP-1975 AK. I bought it used for $325 around 3 years ago. (I'm only 21 now.) I bet I could turn around and sell it for almost double now no problem. Well maybe not double, as I've beaten it up pretty good. I actually think the gas block is crooked on it and it ejects poorly now and then, but if I remove the dust cover it runs fine, and throws steel a mile and a half. It's a fun gun though, and I'll probably hang onto it forever.
