So was your letter about concealed carry issues or gun control in general? This forum is for concealed carry issues. I'll just go ahead and move this thread as a public service so our little corner of the web stays neat and decently organized.

The letters I've been writing tend to get first a general letter that just acknowledges that they received my letter. Then, either nothing or a letter tailored specifically for my topic giving the reps stance on the topic. Yes, the letters are canned, and the rep probably only sees a few actual letters. What the rep usually sees is a tally of how many pro, how many con on a given topic. Hard to respond to the volume of mail they get, especially the White House. The volume of mail on a topic is important. Write often, be polite and firm.

I'm just about ready to start the process of moving to any uninhabited island near the equator. At least I'll be ignored without paying taxes.

I did a word count. 333 words and said nothing. I will NOT make a comment about being 1/2 evil. Nope, not me.

I know what it sounds like to me. Had to plug in my smoke blowing machine to understand it though.

I'm surprised you got a response and that they didn't just file you with the rest of the bitter clingers from NC and other red states.

I know, right! I totally would be expecting the president to hand pen a response to every letter that he gets! THANKS OBAMA!
