Your thoughts on a possible trade.

We have an offer for a swap that I am undecided on.
(actually I want to do it, just wonder what you think)

We have a Ruger 22/45 MKIII with scope as shown.......

    22_45BLACK.jpg

The above and $100.00 cash for the following Glock 20.......

    Glock20Gen3.jpg

Glock comes with 2 magazines, holster and a box of 10MM ammo.

We have 2 other Ruger 22/45's but never had a 10MM anything.

    What do ya think?

Kinda nice that we are both within 15 minutes of each other.

10 is killer sd round. but expensive. on the other hand ive seen more 10 ammo on the shelves than any other auto round.

as far as value i have no idea on either, but i know one thing, you cant beat the reliability of a glock!

Glock is more practical and can serve more functions as a self defense gun/hunting gun.
As Benjamin Franklin left the hall in Philadelphia, he was asked, “What kind of government have you given us, Dr. Franklin?” He replied: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

10mm is great, but buy ammo online (Underwood is good) otherwise you pay tons of money for what is basically loaded to .40 SW levels.

    Do it!

    Assuming that's not a Swarovski scope, I'd say that's a reasonable trade.

10mm factory ammo is pricey, but reloading brings the cost down to about .45 ACP levels.

If you will use the 10mm i think the clock is worth more than your 22/45 ( i have the same ruger). If you wont use the 10mm. i personally would pass. Im not sure how big the 10mm market is but it could be a tough resell later. The ruger will always be sellable.

I wouldn't trade for a 10mm, too much money to feed it.

Before you jump to a gun, check ammo availability. You don't want to trade for something that will be as good as a hammer.

    All for naught.

Emailed the gentleman that made the offer of trade to arrange swap only to have him tell me it was sold, sorry.

I thought it would be kinda neat to have a 10MM as we have other .22 hand guns.

Oh well, lots more out there.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts.
