With intent to carry.

Since my 5th summer if you count bb guns
red rider BB gun when I was 3-4 been shooting since, had a 22lr by the time I was 6 and 12 ga by 10 years old
50+ years. Did not notice the intent to carry before, that lowers it to 30+ years.
I got an Ithaca single-shot .22 for Christmas when I was seven.
You listed with intent to carry so that slimmed my response. I have owned a firearm since about 1984. (I was about 12 or 13)
Ooops just caught that with intent to carry. I always wanted to just wasnt old enough
It looks like the question got changed.
50+ years. (Daddy was BM1 UDT/Navy Rifle Team.) Can you guess how I was raised?
Scott
Got my first single-shot .22 for my ninth birthday. Ever since then.
Been a gun owner since I was old enough to legally buy firearms. As for carrying, it's only been a couple years.
First BB gun at age 4, first 22 age 8, first center fire rifle and shotgun age 10, first semi-auto rifle age 14, first handgun age 17 3/4.
But you said with intent to carry so; Indiana issues CCW at age 18 so just before then had a 21 year old buddy buy me a nickel plated S&W round butt 19 as a carry gun.
But 4 years earlier (pre '68) a buddy and I had a run in with some Deliverance types in some abandoned stone quarry land, so we each bought an M-1 Carbine to carry with us in hopes of running across the @holes again. Probably a good thing we never did. So that would make it nhei on to 46 year ago.
most of my guns were hand me downs. So I guess I've always been a gun owner :)
Was given my first handgun at 16.. a Colt 1911
Was given my second handgun at 16 as well.. a Browning (FN) Hi-Power.
At no time since then have I not owned a firearm.
I started carrying daily in the mid 80's
I'm now in my mid-50's
10+ we did not have CC until last November. I had several holsters and set ups just did not do it on a regular basis. Now I can't imagine a day without.
