    Boy you opened a can of worms !This is subjective so here's my choices:
    1)Glock best import, reminds me of my other love watches glockand timex both keep working while taking a licking.
    2) Ruger/Smith&Wesson TIED overbuilt,good prices,working man revolvers security -six,speed -six,sp-101,j-frame revolvers
    3) Smith &Wesson MP seris,Smith and Walther AOS trigger
    4)Springfield 1911,XP autos
    5)kimber autos

    ...have always carried a revolver as BUG...no matter what the primary...when service weapon in holster was .45 auto, carried 2 revolvers as backup...J and K snubs...I think you'd find in a poll here that more than you think carry revolvers...some as primary and some as backup..."...pretty much a thing of the past"...I get that a lot lately...oh, well...
