I've been insured with USAA for about 32 years now, hands down they are the best insurance company around. We have had dealings with Armed Forces Insurance--since we are literally just down the road from them. Insuring my guns with AFI was a hassle to say the least. Homeowners insurance with USAA is painless and they insure my wife's jewelry and mu guns with no hassles at all. Now, our oldest son is a happy USAA member and our youngest son will be a member soon.

I've banked with USAA for years. I have my home owner and cars insured through them. I have shopped around and while they are not always the lowest, their customer service make sup for it.

USAA is great. They have insured my cars and home for 25+ years. I have banked with them for almost 10 years and I get the insurance for my business through them as well via a deal they sponsor with Harford. I consult with Financial Services companies for a living and I think they are the best run FS firm in the US
I have been with them since a long long time ago (24 years) I was a cadet. Home, auto, checking, savings. Never looked back nor anywhere else. And those SSA checks every year are nice! Always paid my claims, no questions asked, always treat me with respect.

My wife and I recently switched our homeowners and auto over to USAA and saved a little over $800/year. Jewelry and firearms were covered under the homeowners policy up to a certain amount. If you needed more coverage it was available.
