    Long gun/range resources

So I started by buying my first gun to carry. I really thought I'd just get one and learn it. For some odd reason, I now feel extremely compelled to shoot something at 1000 yards.

Does any body know a good web resource for long range? Something similar to Defensive Carry?

    Thanks

Here's another long range training option. Although I have not participated in their training, I love the NRA Whittington Center. Check it out here: NRA Whittington Center - Whittington U

AccurateShooter.com (formerly 6mmbr.com). There is a discussion forum and a lot of articles on scopes, sighting, ballistics, calibers, and various rifles.

Um, yeah . . . Someone should have warned you. It's kind of like Lay's potato chips; you can't eat just one. Pretty soon you'll want a shotgun for shooting clay, a revolver (if you have a semi-auto), a .22LR for inexpensive practice, and on and on. I read a post "buy a safe twice as big as you think you'll need."

    Welcome to the fraternity.
