Happy (belated) Birthday to ME!
My son and I haven't been able to hook up since Christmas, and his Navy Reserve and government duties keep him on the go a lot. The two of us getting together is orchestrated around his schedule. Wife and I managed to catch up with him at a Cracker Barrel this morning as he headed to Miami. He missed giving me a birthday card on my special occasion last month. Guilt is a good thing, I suppose.
I've always liked the feel of Sigs, but I've always been the type who'd drive a VW instead of a Porshe because they'll both get me there, only one a lot cheaper. Sigs were on my Lotto winnings list.
So, with little fanfare, he presents me with a P226 MK25 that's had one box of ammo run through it. He has a friend he calls the "Gun-of-the-Month" buddy who constantly buys and sells guns, never being satisfied with the last whenever something new comes out. Seems my son talked him out of, not one, but two P226s, at a steal of a price of course. knowing my son, he kept the MIB one, but that's okay--now I finally have my Sig.
Guess who moved to the top of my Favorite (and only) Son list. He did mention that he'd get it back one day. That boy is always looking ahead!

Does he need another Dad to spoil? I know someone who would volunteer for the job.

There's nothing like a "father son" relationship. Remember, it's the thought that counts. Happy belated.

Can't do the picture thing, but it looks just like all the other MK25s.

Congrats on the birthday and the new piece. I got my Christmas present a month late too: an M&P 9c. I think it was the last one available in my area. I'm confident that it's not the last piece I'll purchase, but it'll serve as my CC for now.

Congrats on the Sig and happy birthday. I've got one coming up later this month, but I doubt if I'll get any presents as nice as that one you got!

Oh, JL, you shouldn't have. I mean shouldn't have returned it. I didn't return your bear. But a 229 would help fill the lineup!!
