    For now, anyway, there are parts that can't be 3D printed. The main one that comes to mind is the barrel.

    What makes you think a barrel can not be printed? Granted it may not have the strength needed, but I see no reason why one can not be printed. And as far as strength as the technology matures, things will get stronger.

    Springs as well (AFAIK), but the idea is liberating. So far AR mags can be printed (except the magazine) and so have AR lowers.

    i dont think the plastic can handle the bullet pressure.

    But you can print your own pistol grips, forearm grips, butt stocks, etc.

    Thats also what I was thinking. Just really needed to fire a round or 2. And if you really designed right, you could make drop in barrels that can quickly be tied in.

    I guess we really don't have to worry about it. It would be illegal to print a gun and then use to commit a crime, so it could never happen.
