Firearms you now wish you hadn't traded or sold

How many of you have regretted selling or trading a gun? Which gun was it?

The ones that jump out at me are a GLOCK 27, and a Ruger Mini-14, but I'm sure there are others. I let the GLOCK go for $300.00 when I really wanted a Kimber, and I wasn't carrying the G-27 anymore.

I traded the Ruger Mini-14 to a good friend for a tricked out Ruger 10-22 (I know, I know). LOL My thinking at the time was, a. I don't have a 10/22 and I want one b. I already owned an AR in 5.56, and c. Mini 14 mags were a lot more expensive than AR mags (prior to PMAGs, when we all used military surplus magazines for our AR's. I know he got the best part of this transaction, and I knew it when I did it. But yes, I do regret it now.

Another regret was giving my youngest son my Kimber Stainless II .45ACP when his first child was born. It's not so much that I regret giving him the pistol, because it made him very, very happy at the time. It's the fact that he foolishly left the pistol in his truck, and had it stolen that really angers me. He had coveted my Colt Series 70 Government Model for years, and I wasn't willing to part with that pistol, so I opted to give him the Kimber. Now some coconut is probably doing home invasions with it. SMH

I have resolved though to never, ever sell or trade another, so I guess I've learned my lesson. Anybody else?

Too many times. Glock 19's, Ruger sp101, Ruger Security Six, Ruger Single Six, Ruger P95, Ruger MkII, other Glocks, a Winchester defender 20ga pump, Winchester 9422. Man I wish I had all of those back.

Thanks for pointing that out DandLfam. Called myself searching for like threads before starting this one, but guess I missed it. Mod's are free (as always) to move or merge at their pleasure.

I kind of wish I still had my Glock 19, but I felt the niche was better-served with my CZ P-01, so I traded it off.

My older brother had that same set up once. It was very cool. As I remember it, he had some issue with it, due to changing out barrels, lead shavings blowing out or something. Just don't remember. Sure was ahead of it's time though.

    ^^^^^^^^Ouch^^^^^^^

Hate to rub it in, but that was a really big boo-boo, as I have a DW 15-2VH 6 inch and I would sell my soul before I would sell this pistol.

    OP,
just a S & W model 39-2, that I got back in a trade, 3 years later, and made out like a bandit in the process.

No worries! It's easy to skip over them. The search bar here at DC is, ehhh, less than good. LOL.

Hahaha, Me either. It was my 2nd gun, jammed on me ever other round..

I do regret selling a glock 27 I had, and a short snub .38 hammerless. Little .32 which was a Kel Tec never gave me a problem like the PF9 did..
