Hot Digity Dog - the WIFE got a new (and 1st) gun.

A while back I posted about my wife texting me about the need to "Talk about the guns"... She surprised me by saying that she wanted to take her gun safety course, and get her CCW.

Last weekend she took the class, and the range portion was postponed due to weather. So today she went out and shot almost everything. (I wish I was there to see it, but sometimes it is better for the husband to let others do the teaching.) When I say that she shot almost everything, I mean that. She shot everything from a .22, .380, 9mm, 380 special, .357 mag... and then.. she shot the .44 MAG!!!!

That isn't the best part - she got home, told me all about her day followed by "lets go". We went store and she picked up the Ruger LC380. We were hoping for the LC9, but they sold that one this morning, but they still had five LC380's left in stock (for a few minutes).

So.. while we were there, the instructor and his wife showed up at the store as well. He didn't think they had the LC380 available, but as soon as he found out they were there, he picked one up to!

The best part is that they told me she is really good, and he wouldn't want to mess with her. Since I live with her, I can vouch that she is not one to be messed with.

Late valentines day gun for her, and I am floored beyond belief. The most fun part is making her do all the paperwork... After the numerous times of "no more guns" and "I don't want any more in the house", and "Can you get rid of one or two"... SHE is the one that added to the collection.

I sure do love my wife!

    Sounds like a good day
Pain is the best teacher, but nobody wants to go to his class.

Waiting for my wife to reach that point. She mentions it now and then but hasn't made the move yet. Patience.

    Good for you and her.

I know the feeling. My wife 'drank the kool-aid' oh about a year ago. Now she's a much better shot than I am. She's won her Glock match last year and has really moved up in her shooting league. She's the one picking out the latest gun mag at the store and talking guns, holsters, ammo, etc. I don't get much, if any grief, if I want a new gun now. Except I have to budget for two. :-)

My wife has had hers for ~30 years.
My only problem is trying to talk her into letting me buy a new $1,500.00 rifle. (No. Not an AR)

    BTW: Congrats.

    Congrats to your wife!

On another note: I really like the Ruger LCP. Let me know how the LC380 does at the range!
