    The greatest words a guy can hear

    Stopped at one of my favorite dealers' shop yesterday to pick up a long back-ordered AR action which had come in through Brownell's. (Another story...and a good one) Anyway, during the paperwork process, I asked about a couple of other guns I have been looking at, trying to find out about availability.

    The manager said that he might be able to get them (they are 'allocated'...we all know what that means) but if I wanted to order them, he would let me know when they were in, and so on. You know the drill. I said I'd think it over on one, but that I would go ahead and order the other.

    My wife was with me and had been looking at other stuff in the store...overhead my conversation and said the greatest words a gun guy can hear;

    "Why don't you just order both and I'll buy one of them for you for a birthday present."

    !!!!

    Have I mentioned that I love my wife?

    Some guys here in Colorado were getting an order together for some 80% AR lowers (no markings at all, no serial numbers) and then have a machining party at a machine shop with a mill. Told the wife I was wanting to order 1...... She says "Only 1? In today's world it would only make sense to get a couple". So I have 3 coming.

    About a month ago we were in a shoe shop and she was trying to decide between 3 pairs of shoes; I told her to just get them all, she needs them for work so what the hey!
