The article says that they will NOT sell to those State agencies, but will still sell to individual officers in those agencies.
It is a subtle compromise, not perfect, but better than most.
The tone of the original response was harsh, but we have no idea about how bad the email bomb to them was. Spam gets most of us upset.
These companies are in it to make money. This is their lively hood. While I have great respect for the companies that take a principled stand, I can understand not wanting to throw themselves on their own swords to make a point.
I hope that Mark Westrom the President of ArmaLite Inc has learned that he should never allow Pat Raley, Master Armorer / Sales Rep. of ArmaLite, Inc to interact with a customer.
Looks like Armalite is choosing to walk a fine political line. Their financial numbers might indicate that they can do without the civilian customer base.

They are not a political organization, they are a business. And they are correct, make the right voting choices and the problem is solved.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.
