Ammunition is too hard to get now to blow it up in the oven. I think I'll just keep mine in the washing machine.

...reminds me of a Lt. who carried a J .32....and extra rounds in his back pocket...where, one night, he crammed a spare radio battery...the round went off and injured him slightly...he was never the same...

We need to ban ovens. Somebody call Joe and tell him and Dianne to add them to the list. Guns aren't the only things that can sling bullets.

That would be a complete breach of my "Roommate Agreement"...lol. And if he was a boyfriend, well, he would be just that...was.

...the old GE batteries had the contacts close enough it got on the shell...I think it was the heat of the dead short...don't see how a spark could have done it...there was a witness, though...it wasn't that his wife shot him...

Well, you cannot get "shot" with a cartridge that is not chambered. As was the case here. The brass cartridge case will rupture and there will be brass shrapnel flying.
You are looking at superficial skin wounds. Of course you could be easily blinded if a piece of that brass hit an eye.
The actual bullet itself usually will only travel a couple of feet with no power behind it.

Police determined that Mr Sandy, who works at WalMart, had committed no crime.

Working at WalMart? Isn't that a crime?

I wonder why the place of employment is even relevant to the story - unless they are suggesting something stereotypical of WalMart employees???
