    More Firearm Ignorance on TV

The television is almost always on in our house. Not really my preference, but my wife likes it on.

If nobody's really watching anything, I'll turn it to something educational like a nature show, Mythbusters, How It's Made, Top Gear (I swear, it's educational ),etc.

The other day I flipped to BBC America and a nature program was on, so I left if there while I surfed the web. At one point, the host (British or Australian, based on the accent) was holding a stick with a very large poisonous centipede on it which caught my attention. About this time he said "This is like holding a loaded gun in your hand! At some point it's just going to explode!". I was dumbstruck.

The level of firearm ignorance we're surrounded by continues to dismay me.

That doesn't even surprise me anymore. After Piers Morgan's ridiculous rants, everything else seems tame.

You have to be very careful with those exploding centipedes.

If it was a high capacity centipede I guess it would be even worse.

Would that make it an assault centipede?

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

You can't fix stupid...but you can poke it in the eye with a stick, even if it has a centipede on it.

    More Firearm Ignorance on TV

I was watching the episode this week of Law and Order :SVU ( week of 2/17/13) and they had a scene where a felon had " purchased 6 guns over the Internet and had them mailed to him" and that they didn't have "registration like we do (NYC))" and had killed someone with one of these evil guns

The media is getting worse and worse. It's loaded with propaganda and the sheep just watch and learn what is bad or good, right or wrong. No thinking required.

I was going to post this exact thing to this thread until I saw that you had already done it. I ranted at my wife when that scene came on.
They neglected to state that all of those would have gone through a federal background check at a local registered dealer. Never mind the facts, we have an agenda to promote!

When I was a kid you could do exactly that; except for the internet part.
