    I Finally Found the 1911 I Wanted

After months of searching, I finally found the 1911 that I wanted. I considered several before making my decision. There are several folks here who contributed to my decision and I thank you all.

All my research told me that I wanted a tactical 1911, and I decided on the SIG Revolution. It may not be the purist's idea of what a 1911 is supposed to be, but it sure fit all my requirements. I am attaching a picture here.

A range report will follow as soon as I can get a couple hours free to go out and give it a run through.

Make sure you do that report, I haven't got my hands on one yet, they sure look cool. Normally I am a 1911 purist, but I love my Sigs too.

Bud, weren't those complaints about the original Revolution? According to the slide in the picture this is the new GSR version. I haven't seen any complaints about it.

Shoot if it's gold plated you should change your handle to Huggie Bear.

The new Sig GSR's seem to have fixed the problems with the initial offerings. I haven't had any problems with mine, except the rear sight needs to be lock-tited down (or really tightened) to stay in place. Oh, and I managed to round out the interior of a hex screw on one of the grips. Be careful with those, they are a pain to get out once you mess them up!
