Bud - Google up these guys - I bought a while ago a coupla thou each of .45 and 9mm - and IIRC they had pretty good prices. Quality seems pretty good tho not gotten to loading these ones yet.
I found them by accident myself when Googling.

I have never shot the 45 acp from Oregon Trail, but I do shoot their 44-40, .44 mag and .357 in their hard cast lead, and they are good bullets.
Midwayusa is running them for 29 bucks for 500 in 230 grain 45 acp it looks like.
And yea, all the copper jacketed stuff has really gone up lately.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I just cast up a few thousand at a time. Other than time, they cost very little.

Ya know Bud...for awhile I quit.
The lead prices were too low to justify the time spent.
Here lately though, because everything has gone up, I've dusted off the molds and began using them again.

Bud,
Try Penn Bullets: http://www.pennbullets.com/
He does Flat rate shipping and at $40 per K for 200 SWCs he’s fairly reasonable. I ordered 7K of mixed a couple months ago and he cut me a volume discount.
The bullets were very consistent in both weight and diameter.

Bud,
One warning I forgot to add, he does bullets in batches, so it can take a little while. I ordered another 2K a couple weeks ago, and they're not here yet. My big order took right around 3 weeks for the 1st box to show up.
Luckily, I'm 20 miles from Cabela's so I can always run out for an emergency re-supply.
Chuck
