Just goes to show that liberalism is a mental disorder..... picked up a new gun last week and the background checks were in the 90,000's in Tennessee alone for the Jan-Feb period.

The only data they will believe is election results.

I hope we send a clear message in the mid-term elections.

The Left works by exploiting peer pressure for political gain. They have pandered to every group that votes together. For example, 96% of 'Group A' all vote as one. If you are a member of Group A, you are under tremendous peer pressure to go with the group. Therefore, honest, rational thought processes and discussion are removed from the voting process. These groups simply follow the leader of the group.

Promises are made to the leaders of Group A, B, C, etc., until enough mindless votes are acquired to win any election. When the Left says such things as 'gun ownership in decline...' they are controlling their groups. These groups really care more about what is popular than what is good. If something can be shown to be trending, these groups will support it because of peer pressure.

'Guns are bad. Gun ownership is down' is a message that these bobbleheads will eat up like candy. It doesn't matter that it is factually incorrect. Why? Because the message feels good. 'Guns are bad, and we're winning the battle of the century. Come join your peers and you can be a winner, too.' In this way, propaganda transforms opinion.

One of my favorite examples of bobbleheads is Tobacco vs Marijuana. Smoking is bad. Smoking causes cancer. Smoking smells bad. No smoking in bars. No smoking near a door. No smoking in a park. No smoking near children. Unless you're smoking wacky weed. Then you should smoke for breakfast, smoke at work, smoke while riding your bike, smoke in your smoking club, smoking smells good, smoking is medicine. Smoking marijuana is a right!

    Really? They can't be serious?

Well of course they will say this because they know that if there are more gun owners, their disarmament agenda will be harder to push through.

Soon I'm going to skew those Anti "statistics" and purchase a new firearm. I have some insurance claim money for the one's stolen from me.

That is unless I can find one. There have been so many sold since the last election of the gun-grabber-in-chief that my local gun shops are having a bear of a time keeping anything in stock.

So, no. Gun sales and new owners are not down.

Church membership is in decline. Therefore, we should outlaw all churches. Right?

Gun control's going to be a wash federally barring anymore Newtowns (for the time being). Yes, we may end up with more background checks, but there will be as many holes in it as there are in Swiss cheese given the diversity of all 50 states. LBJ was right; gun control has to be rammed through quickly, or it's not going to fly. Obama and the anti-gunners are dragging this out too long to get much.

It's the shooters in blue states who should worry. Gun control is like the abortion issue in many ways. In some states it is very difficult to get an abortion. In some states it will be made more difficult to get some guns. We'll see even more of a checkerboard of regs than we do now.

I find their information slightly less reliable then the National Enquirer headlines we all used to glance at back in the days when we would stand in line at Wal Mart to pay for a couple boxes of White Box.

Don't forget it was the National Enquirer that first ran the John Edwards cheating scandal. :)

When are publics schools are doing everything they can to make sure our kids are afraid to mention guns or even make something in the shape of a gun, why would we expect a poll to accurately reflect gun ownership? The anti's have done their best to demonize guns, so I believe it is natural for people to talk about them less or not even to admit to owning one. They wanted to marginalize gun owners, but what they have really accomplished is to make it much harder to get decent statistics.
