Beautiful pic. Buckmark was my first .22 semiauto 20 years ago. Wish I still had it.

very beautiful. Browning Buckmark camper was my first gun, first pistol, and it along with 22lr is my favorite to shoot before anything else. Add in the full custom work that can be done to these guns... gorgeous.

    Great pic!!!

Off-topic... how do you like the Browning?

I'm in the market for a new plinker and I'm torn between the Browning and the Ruger MKIII.

So far I like it, the reason I went with the Browning is:

    1. It was the right price.
    2. It was available.
    3. It got excellent reviews, everywhere.
    4. It looks nice.
    5. It's easy to field strip.

I don't think you can go wrong between the two, I was in the same boat and would have bought either - the Browning came in the right package at the right time.

#5 Is what's got me leaning towards the Browning...

I fondled a Ruger recently at LGS and mentioned to him my reservation about the difficult cleaning procedure I had read about on the interwebs...

He then went on to lecture me (I'm quite a bit younger than him) about how 99% of what you read on the net is crap...

Long story short: I asked him to show me how easy it was...

    15 minutes later he did...

    I still like 'em though.

    Thanx for the input.

Hahaha, yeah, I'm sure it's not bad once it's broken in and not so stiff.... at least that's what I hear. :D

Nice gun and handy picture taking too.

I love my Buckmark!!! I had a micro, and now have a 6" bbl model (blued slab side). They are super sweet plinkers and easy to clean. Easy to dial in the sights with the micro adjustable sighting too.

Terrific acquisition! I love my Buckmark slabsided. I have used it in bullseye competition for the last twenty years, it's that accurate. You'll be very satisfied with yours.
