    Gun Sentry Robot

    http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/t...n-sentry-robot

Samsung has partnered with Korea University to develop a machine-gun equipped sentry robot, which consists of “two cameras: one for day-time and one for infrared night vision, zooming capabilities, a speaker for notifying the intruder, sophisticated pattern recognition to detect the difference between humans/trees, and a 5.5mm machine-gun.”

I got to have one for the back yard

HA - If you liked that you'll probably like this one too. It's been around for a little while now.

UMMMM, you know, between you , me and Chris, we could probably build one. You have a need for one besides the fun factor?

    I don't see how this doesn't qualify as a high-tech set gun.

Sure they can be built. But should they be given the function to "think" on their own? I have no problem with simple remote control devices so equipped, but I just don't trust the electronics. How often does your computer crash? More often than your CCW fails?

I am just surprised that Samsung help make this. I will never look at their cell phones the same way again.

Once it costs $15 and has a talcum-powder, air-jet alternative (instead of the gun), I'll buy two. For anti-feline patrol of the yard, specifically the pool (which has been the perfect make-shift litter box for the damned things).

Hey, for my money, I'd also be all over the "Gorilla Glue" option, with quad-jet squirters. Or, the insta-kitty-cuff model, perhaps. But that's just me. Go, Samsung, go!

umm, I didn't wanna say this, ever, but I have all three Rambos, in a box set. *gulp* sorry to let anyone down who thought I may have decent judgement.

Ok, so I actually like the Rambo movies. I love the heat seaking speed of sound arrows he uses, that blow dudes up at 300 yards. WAY better than my old Browning Compound at 215 FPS!

I want one of the Robot from Terminator 3 if I'm gonna bother, I need TWIN machine guns! A robot sentry with a 5mm machine gun just isn't effective anymore in my neck of the woods, it needs to be at least twin, .50 cal, belt fed, minimum. And I need a ping pong shooter mounted on the side for "warning shots" for legality. "But judge, I fired one over his head, but he just didn't stop!"

    Pretty cool anyway. :) Crexrun
Walther P22, Velocitors, on my side. Ruger P95, Speer Gold Dot 124 +Ps, bedside. Mossberg 500, full of steel shot behind the door. And a Princeton Tec Genesis 3 watt led and a Gerber Ridge knife! Don't steal MY Coors Light!
