    Bug Out Bag pistol

Got this transferred into my name today because a friend is in some financial troubles. I gave him $250.00 for it plus it cost $35.00 for the paperwork. Is it a good deal? It came with five 10rnd mags the ruger case for it two holsters (that im not going to use) It is a p91 and my thoughts are to use this for a B.O.B. pistol becuase it is a .40 and has enough mags for that kind of situation IMO. What do you all think?

From my neck of the woods that is a GREAT deal. Rugers have always been over engineered and your P-Series is one of the toughest 40's made. Seems to me there was a federal agency that used them for a while before our tax dollars burned a hole in their pocket and they went with Glock or Sig. The thing is they NEVER wore out the Rugers they had. I knew several officers I worked with on patrol when I was a cop that carried the P-Series when they first came out. They performed as well and sometimes better than their more expensive counterparts did on the range. So in my opinion you got a solid deal as I have seen the same model go for $375 to $400 on the shelf here for the gun and only 2 magazines.

Rugers are built like tanks (the P91 is no exception) so yeah, you got a wonderful deal. Now all you need is one more!

I say this because it is my belief (FWIW) that a really good BOB should have two identical gun and about 5 mags per gun since the only way to "fix" a gun under such bad conditions is to replace it.

Ruger makes nice firearms. The only one I have is an SR22 (love it). However, from a "bug out" perspective, I'll be bugging out with my EDC (S&W M&P 9c) and not a separate pistol and my AR-15 if necessary and feasible.

You got a great deal, I'm jealous. I dig the ruger p series pistols.

why pay for a transfer? is it required where you live? best thing about buying guns FTF is staying "off the grid" IMO. especially for a grab bag gun.

P91 was the first 40 I bought. loved it. still a good deal at $285. nice job.

I wanted it in my name for several reasons. I can easily pack this in a winter coat and it is also serving as a nice car gun currently. If the time occurs that I get pulled over for Being american white and having a job, I d like to keep my pistol so to speak if you get what I mean

Yeah I know I got off topic, but I wanted the gun registered in my name that is what is important.

    B.O.B. pistol?

Do you have a concealed carry license? If you do, I'd assume your carry weapon would bug out with you. Your bag may only require spare mags + rounds to feed what you're already wearing.

If you're not already carrying, then that looks like a great choice!
    Currently own: Beretta PX4 9mm, Glock 23 (Gen 4), Glock 19 (Gen 4) x2
