    Firearms lawyer in Washington State

    Ladies & Gentlemen,

I am new to CC (just got my license) and new to Washington state (Arrived here 6 months ago). Now that I have made the decision to CC, I would like to retain a lawyer that specializes in firearm issues in case the unthinkable happens and I am forced to discharge my firearm. I was thinking of something similar to the Texas shield, but thought I would ask any members that are in the Washington State if they had any recommendations? If I do ever have to defend myself, it is not going to be the best time to then locate a lawyer to represent me, so I would like to be proactive about this. Hopefully I haven't broken any club rules by asking, but welcome all suggestions.. I hope to never need their services, but a good lawyer should always be part of your defense arsenal.. I am searching the WEB but nothing can replace a personal recommendation.

    Gary

These folks can help: ACLDN, the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network. Good folks in the PacNW who can assist. The ACLDN has a list of qualified self-defense attorneys in many states, each of whom are well-versed in defending SD cases.

The head of ACLDN, Marty Hayes, also runs the Firearms Academy of Seattle, which is just down the road in Onalaska, WA. Decent training and range, there.

You can also visit SeattleGuns.NET and ask this. There is a member there that is a firearms attorney and he will give you his contact info to keep on hand. He doesn't require a retainer and will take your call day or night.

Checking out the ACLMN but curious if anyone has ever had a good experience with a supportive lawyer in the Spokane area?

    Thanks,
