    30 Cal AR 15 - 30BLK Looking for resources.

Has anyone shot or built the .300BLK in the AR15 platform? If so can you point me to some good resources for this caliber and recommended barrels for it?

Yes. Daniel Defense makes complete rifles, barrels, and uppers in 300 AAC BLK. AAC also makes uppers and complete rifles.

I am also looking for resources for the round itself, and for those that have shot it, how they feel about it. Any personal reviews would be appreciated. Also interested in reloading information, and the conversion of .223 brass to the .30 BLK (.30 AAC BLK)

I've shot them. I've built lots.

Heres a pic. 153 yard shot with one of my personal guns.

    A few more Blackouts...

The Blackout shines the most when it is suppressed. Its accurate, it hits hard and its the quietest thing going.

Right now, Blackout barrels or guns are hard to get. I've used most of the barrel makers and just about all have been in the 1 in 8 twist to stabilize the 220 grain bullet.

Check out YouTube for some videos regarding reloading of the 300 Blackout. I saw a couple good ones a couple months ago. Some detailed instructions on case trimming, measurements and other stuff.

The .223 brass is easy to convert. You basically cut the case at the shoulder, neck up to .30 cal, trim it and its good.

With mild shooting loads, it'll last quite a long time. I use mostly AA#5, around 7-8 grains because its quiet and accurate. AA5 wont cycle an AR though, it works best for the bolts and single shots, but is considerably quieter than most other powders.
