Have You Ever Made a Really Stupid Deal on a Trade?

Just venting and kicking myself in the rear for this. Traded a G26 with night sights to a G37 even. Yes, I am still questioning my sanity. Even though I got the G37 with three magazines, loader, box ect. I also traded the same amenities with the G26 minus 1 magazine.

Not sure what I was thinking at the time but right now I feel really dumb.. even if I got 200 rounds of .45GAP....

I traded a sw model 60 no dash pinned barrel for a ruger vaquero .22 in stainless. It was a moment of weakness combined with the insane thought that I had enough guns.

I've been thinkin of trading in either my 6" S&W 586-2 or my Type 52 SKS for a FNX-45 or Glock 21.

Trust me, I won't. It appears to be a $600.00 lesson that does not need to be learned twice. Honestly I like the G37 but gosh, I got hosed and worse, with my own blessing to boot!

What is really going to stink is when the guy you made the trade to, comes to the forum talking about the great deal he got on a G26...

Yip, bad trades happen. I have had my share. But I'm sure I have plenty of bad trades to go.

Don't let it get you down the trading will swing back your way.

What is important is the guy trading is happy with his new gun no matter if it worth more or less than what he traded for it ;) Sometimes it is not about the value in an object, but the satisfaction of having the new object :)

Diddle, I'll sell it back to you........................at a slight profit.

Seriously though, I traded a Thompson 1911 Government for a Astra A-75 .40. Never really regretted the trade, the Astra was my first CC gun and served me well. It still resides in my safe and is the only .40 I have left.

The worst trade I ever made was a Steyr M9A1 for a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.1.
I wanted the rifle and hadn't shot they Steyr in almost a year, but I could have sold the Steyr out right for half again the value the Enfield.

Patience is not one of my virtues.

My wife is yelling that I don't have any virtues!

it just goes to show, once you buy a gun never get rid of it, then you dont have to worry about if you got a good deal trading it

My stupid trade was my PPS 40 for a Kahr PM 40. The Kahr was a POS.
