We seem to be hearing that a lot from the anti-gun crowd as they seek a ban. I can think of one pretty good reason. According to this surveillance photo from a local convenience store robbery, it appears that's what the bad guys are using. You could find yourself outgunned.

Why do the BG's need standard capacity magazines?

How about the multiple stabbings in Texas - sounds like a high capacity knife was used. Hardly any coverage on the mainstream media.

I do no see why either but I will defend our rights to have them. Most of my guns are revolvers and single stacks. Only one gun I own out of 12 has high capacity magazines (17 rounds) and that is because it is my range gun and saves time in loading. I have no young man illusions of fighting off multiple attackers because I know that the odds of one of them getting to me are much greater than me getting to all of them especially since they will have the advantage of planning the attack and are mentally prepared to fight while I might be in a jovial mood and not expecting it. :) Life is funny like that. Violence is often sudden and brutal and catches us unawares when we are in social settings.

However, those in competition or those who fear an end of the world or disaster situation where they will need to fight off hordes of bad guys out to steal their food and prevail against them based on the strength of their hi cap magazines and uncanny ability to hit what they aim for while the 10 attackers miss each time, all without any tactical training or previous experience in shooting at humans, would need those hi caps. As I said, I am opposed to mag limits because I do not think they matter at all, not because I think we need them for defense. :) Good shooters tend to make their shots count. Spray and pray seems to be the norm now as witnessed by the drive by shootings and many videos of shootings I have watched. More ammo only serves to encourage the spray and pray method. Then again I was raised on 6 guns and all our training was based on having only 6 rounds with more not quickly reloaded in a pouch on our belts. So when we trained for multiple assailants it was with using our six shooters. If more than 6 we were taught to fight our ay to cover and then reload. Different techniques than if you had 15 rounds in your mag. However, as a civilian I never came across more than 3 guys and just showing my 5 shot snub nose scared them away. It really is true that no one wants to be shot unless you are a gang banger who has determined people out to get you. I forgot, there is always that drug crazed guy who will absorb many rounds just to see what you have in your wallet but after 42 years I think they are as rare as Bigfoot. :)

would take a huge magazine to hold 30 banana rounds. Magnums would be out of the question.

And again I ask........ Why does Rosie O'Donnell need a 'High Capacity Fork'?

Afterall, many more people die of being overweight than by firearms each year in the US!

But if we pass another law the BG's won't be able to use high capacity magazines anymore, right??? I mean, it would be the law and we all know how the BG's strictly follow the rules..

Hardly a day goes by, anymore, without reading in the morning news about some home invasion or robbery locally in which multiple armed felons perpetrated their violence on innocents. IN EVERY SINGLE one of such instances, I'm sure a person about to be murdered/robbed/raped would have felt a bit more likely to survive the situation if armed sufficiently well to stop them all. Can't do that very well with a finger and a phone. Can't easily do it with a pop-gun or knife.

Why could anyone upstanding use such a thing? To save their very lives. Who? Anyone wishing to attempt doing so, that's who.

If banning high capacity magazines works out, maybe we could consider banning marijuana, cocaine, and heroin next. Maybe we could also consider banning people from other nations from crossing our borders without a visa.

Ever notice the liberals always ask, " Why do you need....Why do you want.....How come you......"

Quit worrying about me. Worry about your damn self.

My guns have magazines that hold what they were designed to hold. They came that way. And the spares as well.

Don't question me, liberal. As usual, you have no conception of what you speak.

    That's what they hear.

Murder, robbery and rape are banned, too. Have been for awhile. That's worked out really well. I'm sure that every murder, robbery and rape victim thinks so.
