Nice shooter. Now take that Huble telescope off and use it like a handgun was meant for.

Ok I finally got it to show up, it isn't the size I wanted but it is there.

I picked this up yesterday for $700 out the door. 44 mag Supper Redhawk 9.5. I didn't get a box of cartridges because I thought I could find components on line I was wrong.

I had to work on it, the cylinder would stick in the closed position and was hard to lock up when closing. I asked the fellow showing the gun behind the counter he said that he thought it was ok but would ask the gun smith. The gun smith told him that wasn't uncommon in those guns. I figured I could fix it so I bought it.

It was hanging up on the bottom of the forcing cone where the crane comes just under it, there wasn't enough clearance. I took a file to the bottom of the forcing cone and relieved the bind.

I havent shot it as yet, NO AMMO but it shows almost no wear, but it has file marks on the crane here it comes under the forcing cone. I think some one bought it and shot a box maybe less and dumped it because it would lock up when it got hot after a few shots.

I think I did ok on this deal.

I got to tell you, if you had to take a file to the forcing cone to get clearance, then you have other more pressing issues.

From the DC Press: Detroit citizens have taken to carrying hand cannons.

    Seriously nice weapon.

Find a " competent " gunsmith or contact Ruger about the forcing cone issue.

Some of the comments on it being more involved than I thought it was, prompted me to make a call to Ruger.

Well just got off the phone with Ruger, I explained everything to the fellow on the phone. He told me that happens sometimes, a burr of some sort gets there. He went on to explain the exact thing that was happing, kind of snapping into and out of place, instead of being smooth. He went on to say, it seems you did what is needed, shoot it and if you have any problems let us know, we will fix it.
