25 Messages From NRA Members To Gun Control Supporters

About 40 or 50 protesters showed up to the second day of the NRA convention in Houston, Texas.

They held signs and mostly stood in silent protest across the street from the convention center.

    Scroll down

On the other side of the street NRA members watched and sometimes shouted at protesters. I went to that side and asked gun owners to write a message to the protesters.

    Here's what they wrote:

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It appears that the anti-gun movement must be about played out in Houston.

    The comments are interesting.

One point the liberals always bring up is "Regulated." In the comments, one poster pointed out that it speaks directly to the MILITIA that is regulated, not the PEOPLE or the ARMS. Regulated in terms of troops meant "well disciplined." It had nothing to do with guns. When addressing the part specifically about arms, it says "Shall not be Infringed."

So, I take this to mean "regulate" the militia, but don't "infringe" upon the arms of the people.

    Thanks for the link.

The comments at the bottom are quite entertaining.

The liberals need to check their dictionary. "Regulated" in this context means "to make similar" or "to keep to a standard". So I take that to mean that I need to keep and bear arms that are similar to and meet the same standards as our military.

Protect our children? Take the guns out of the hands of the law abiding and let the criminals have theirs with more people to prey upon. What is wrong with these people, they just don't think normally. I don't get it.

I had to laugh at the picture of the hipsters with the "90%" sign, the "arms idustry" sign and the "Repeal the 2nd Amendment!" guy with the Cheech & Chong shirt...

One thing I have learned about article comments (being a Penn State football fan) is that I don't give a rats butt what someone else thinks. Opinions are like.... well y'all know the rest.

I've lost count of how many times I've tried to explain the definition of "regulated" in the 2A context... usually resulting that a glassy-eyed stare of confusion.
