This is my first thread starter. I hope it goze well!
A while back, I negligently broke the right side, (starboard) "leaf" portion of the rear sight of my model 19. Instead of fixing it, I took it to the range and practiced with it. I learned to always track the target from left to right and keep the front sight next to and level with the remaining left "leaf" part of the rear sight. I found the target faster and my accuracy was as good or better. Was it the practice or the wide open sights that made me shoot better?
