Responsibility's a booger, particularly when you don't accept it.

Keep control of your weapons, at all times. Secure unused weapons, at all times. Accept the responsibility for them ... or accept the consequences. There is no other choice.

Can't say it much better than ccw9mm.

To those who may not have kids (or ones that live at home), if others happen to bring theirs (announced or not), please immediately secure all firearms. Of course, we all probably know this but a reminder never hurt anybody.

It's so easy. Nobody will die of starvation standing on the porch for 30secs. When the alternative is this sort of outcome, one would think folks would be a tad more diligent in their thinking, along these lines.

If nothing else, it's a good example of how carrying on one's person can avoid such situations.

...of course CNN managed to leave out a few pertinent details that didn't advance their agenda:

What part of the Fox version was left out of the CNN version?

The only thing I noticed was the mention of being a veteran and one mentioning that the kid picked up the weapon and asked what it was before the shooting.

Ditto. Neither one of which would seem to advance a liberal agenda in any way I can think of. I'm all for bashing the media when it's warranted, but not so much inventing reasons to do it.

    Ah, I'm guessing.. ?

The boy was taken to a police substation to undergo interviews, and did not appear to realize what he did, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported. The boy is now with his mother.

...it's not "inventing" when the difference is there in black, white, and a color picture...and the omission of the father's service is certainly part of the liberal agenda...makes it appear less a tragedy and more just another evil gun story...

100% responsibility lies with the father. It is our responsibility as adults to teach children.

    Rules for kids-
Do not touch a gun without parent permission
If you see a gun left out, stop. Leave it alone. Tell an adult.
