Pretty much weekly on average - but not on any set day.

I'll do a routine superficial clean - meaning the ''lint clean'' much as anything and usually also cock and decock. I don't unload/reload all that often because of pounding the top round - even tho I alternate them.

My dryfire practice is mainly 228 and so little need to do much more to the 226. That tho when wrung out on the range will of course get the full treatment.

Probably monthly I'll field strip, clean what needs cleaned and relube.... and usually too change the EDC mag for a fresh one.

The pistols get checked every week. Also, since I usually shoot them every week, they get cleaned each week also. This must mean I don't have enough pistols.

The rifles and shotgun get cleaned and checked monthly.

Twice a year I break down my 1911 completely except for the sights and the ejector. New springs etc. at that time.

I go to the range about once a week. So after the range my weapon is cleaned and inspected.

A quick once over visual daily (check for accumulated lint, crud, mag seated properly, etc.) Function check and oil weekly. Shoot and clean weekly to biweekly.

break down wipe off fuzzys once a week. Sometimes more. I like to play with my gun(don't tell). Besides, cleaning once a week is the cheapest insurance you can buy.

    Weekly Here...

I handle each of my guns weekly. Every 2-4 weeks, I lay them all out on the bed and change the mags...and rotate shells to!

Sometimes I just take them out into the garage and just give them a quick 'spray & wipe'...rack the slide a couple of times...and put them back.

The lucky ones (guns) are able to go for Harley rides with me! I let them take turns!

    Stay alert...stay safe!

I function check my 1911 after every cleaning. I dry fire everyday, so I know the hammer works. But function check? not as much as I should.
