I'll bet this never happened to you..

So here is a story to give you all a laugh...or maybe not?

I bought a Mossberg 500 Field/Deer combo with a mossy oak synthetic stock.

The first day at the range I fired exactly 15 rounds of bird shot through the field barrel just to get used to the trigger pull and such, and then switched over to the rifled slug barrel to get the rifle sights sighted in to Hornady 300 gr SST sabot slugs.

Things were going well, I was making a 3 inch group at 100 yards from a rest.

After the 9th slug, I ejected the spent shell and....my hand continued forward and seperated from the 500...with the forend in my hand!

The good news is I contacted Mossberg, sent the 500 to Eagle Pass Texas and 9 days after I dropped it off at UPS the shotgun was already back in my hands In New Hampshire.

Since then I have fired a few more boxes of the SSTs and an uncountable number of bird shot through it and it has functioned perfectly.

That would be a shocker, nice they repaired and returned it so fast.

That's a new safety feature. They accidentally sent you a New York compliant model. One shot and the guns no good. Like a disposable camera

never had that happen, but I did have the handle bars on my bicycle snap off in my hand doing about 45 mph when I was a teen.
    Wasn't pretty.

sounds like Mossberg CS is first rate. Good deal.
