Some one makes folding stocks for Springfield SOCOM II. I can't rember who. There is the G-3 and other H&K rifles that hev folding stocks. The FN-FAL Para and Congo models both have folding stocks. I forgot my favorite the M-1 carbine, has folding stocks the para and some aftermarket folders.

I'm totally confused as I search for the rifles mentioned.

HK seems to only sell to LE or military. Can I purchase an HK? Some of the clones seem to be the same.

What is available for non LE/Mil purchase?

Short barrel, pistol grip, 7.62mm, and "end of days" gun for hunting/defense is what I'm seeking.

Short Barrel requires a tax stamp. You can buy HK thru a dealer, get a good clone. The JLD that Rob mentioned is suppose to be really good. I haven't shot one myself yet, but have only read good reviews. I am starting the long term (for me) process of building my on AR with a collaspible stock. I have also put together a L1A1 from a parts kit. You can go this route you just have to buy the "gun" part from a FFL dealer, the rest you can order. It is not to hard but I would suggest that you have someone who knows what they are doing head space the barrel. Hope this helps
