Government Loses More Guns - Surprised?

US Park Police lost track of huge supply of weapons, report says | Fox News

Yes, ladies and gentlemen... Since the government is so responsible and competent, they should be they only ones with guns...

And yet this will be another story that 75% of America's population will ignore. In a few days it will be swept under the rug just like everything else. For all we know these missing firearms could be in the hands of thugs killing children (complete speculation, of course).

If we paid higher taxes, there would be more government control to prevent this kind of thing ever happening again...until it does. Then we'll have to pay even higher taxes to have an even larger government to prevent even larger losses. (The preceding is what passes for common sense on the "left coast")

Well I'll be and here they want us to lock up our guns, maybe some classes on how to store fire arms would be in order followed by book keeping for dummies.

That's funny. Try "loosing" one pair of NVGs in the military and see what happens.

Well if it was illegal for civilians to own guns it wouldn't be problem because everytime the government lost a gun the civilian that found it would just turn it back over to the government.

Yes, well it is not surprising. No one in the government has any accountability for anything. The report on USA today mentioned semi automatic and fully automatic ' military' style rifles though no one called the scary black guns assault weapons. Because that might open up the whole discussion as to why park officials need weapons designed for war, lol. Ah well, I take comfort in knowing that they must have surely had trigger locks and limited 5 round capacity magazines.
