S&W Model 60, a rattler and a small gray dot

I picked up the Model 60 about the 1st of the year. It's a great little carry piece and my weekend go-to. I've set it up in a Simply Rugged and that offers a great deal of flexibility.

After dealing with a skunk last week, very close and with the 20 gauge, this guy showed up a couple of days later. A lot of you folks deal with these guys on a regular basis. I don't have to. I see a couple a year, that's it. But the little gray dot on the attached map, right in the middle of the state.....that's my house.

You have a huge house. And a nice Model 60.

    Yeah, we're trying to downsize.

I do like the 60. Even though it's the Pro Series, I still need to get a smith to do the trigger work. I would have hoped for better. That said, it's a j frame so no surprise that the trigger could use a bit of help. She gets to be a handful with full house 357's. A couple of wheels is all I want of the hot stuff.

I've yet to come across a rattler around here (knock on wood) and don't wish to. I usually see copperheads and a handful of "good" snakes..
