    S&w 586

I seem to have caught a new and unexpected revolver bug. I'm thinking my next purchase will be the "6 586 .357 magnum blued. Does it shoot as nice as the reviews I've read?

I've had one for years and love it. How old is the one you're considering. I have an original (No Dash) 6 inch and I love it though I only shoot .38 Special loads out of it. It is my understanding that No Dash and -1, possibly -2 series S&W 586 had an MWO issued on them. As I recall, shooting .357 Magnum loads could lock up the cylinder. I never sent mine back to the factory for service, just switched to .38 Special. You may want to research that before buying. I don't carry the 6", but am actively seeking a 4" model in the event I want to carry a revolver.

Headed to a show next weekend to see what I find. What I've read makes me want a pre lock no dash with an "M" mod.

This probably will be a range gun and/or carry when hawg hunting.

Go deal, once it gets the "M" stamp, it should be good to go. Good luck.
