    Interesting day...

So today I went to my regular checkup at the dentist and I had one cavity they found and they filled it, I left and I figured since it was my day off that I would enjoy myself and reward my self for having a cavity, well shoot might as well buy myself a Ruger LCP while I'm at it! Lol thoughts?? Lol hopefully later today I will get some brass throught it, first handgun for me! I'm excited!

Shot a magazine through one once, did not enjoy it. I hope your experience is different than mine.

Your LCP will be a dependable little gun that is easy and comfortable to carry. I carried one for a year and shot it at least once a week. It is not a range gun. i traded mine off and never regretted it. Good luck

This is my first handgun and I plan on using this firearm as my ccw in a matter of months and I hope it will be a reliable source of protection for me as long as I train and get to be profishent with it

That's right. Now, you need to go back down to the LGS and exchange it for a Chinese 8mm mauser.

Look under somebody's post and you'll see "Reply with Quote" - hit that.

I liked just about everything about the LCP but I just couldn't get it to run reliably, even after a trip back to Ruger. Hopefully you'll have better luck with yours, enjoy!

Well, MrYoungGunz, you have bought yourself a nice shooting little gun. I probably put 600 rounds thru the one I had. They consisted of factory and hand loads. The gun never malfunctioned in any manner. For a self defense weapon, you have picked a good one. All that being said, it is your first gun. I would have suggested maybe to start with a bigger weapon, but you'll do fine. My complaint about the LCP was the recoil and the trigger pull. I shoot a .357 mag and a .45 acp on a regular basis, and the LCP hurt my hand more than these other guns. Ask 100 gun owners their opinions, and you'll get just that...100 different opinions. good luck

I bought an LCP several years ago and I don't regret it. First time at the range, I HATED that gun. So, I did a few add-ons like a Pachmyr grip, a magazine extension, and a Crimson trace laser.

And now I really like it!

I wouldn't call it a fun gun for the range. It's snappy and has a long, hard trigger pull.

It's made for small hands and melts on my body when I carry.
