I'll have to go check that out next time I go visit my parents.

That is just super cool. What a collection! That is truly worthy of a museum all it's own.

    That is a fantastic collection!

I wonder if the cleaning people or production folks even, had inadvertently moved the identification tags? At minute mark 1:19 they have a 1903/1908 Colt tagged as a 1909 Colt. Possibly they have the year of manufacture and not the model number, that would be my guess, I'm certain that old boy would know the difference.

That is ridiculous OD*. You are a sick man. I am in awe. I would never have seen that in a million years, and even if I had I would not be able to tell the difference so quickly, and probably not without a book.

I love the Colts too, but you L-O-V-E them, as in, you want to marry them! You had better keep them locked up in a fireproof safe. Mrs. OD* may get jealous and try to burn 'em all.

Yeah, I do like my Colt's, and outlaw/lawman history (the wife does know I'm a truly sick puppy).

Did you catch the comment he made about the Colt that accidently killed Melvin Purvis? Mr. Purvis committed suicide February 29, 1960, I think he admired his Godfather too much to acknowledge it, I can't say I blame him.

ETA: Maybe the old boy was correct after all, I didn't realize the official coroner's report did not label the cause of death a suicide, the FBI did.

Purvis may have shot himself accidentally while trying to extract a tracer bullet jammed in the pistol
    Interesting.
