    New Type 53 Carbine!

    Well well well,
Last week I just recently picked up my Curio and Relic License from the ATF, and decided as my first act I should purchase another Mosin (I already have a 91/30) and started looking on gunbroker to see what was available. After deciding that the M44's were overpriced, I looked at Type 53 Carbines, and found one for 95$ from Northwest Gun Supply. I hit the buy it now button and closed for 105$. Paid over the phone the next day, was 147$ out the door for S&H plus CC fees, and two days later it arrived on my door step. it has 1954.5 stamped on the receiver, and the stock is chewed up, but the bore, bolt, and trigger are all pretty awesome, with no cosmoline or sticky bolt syndrome. I do not believe in doing permanent mods on millsurp rifles, so what I plan to do with it is the following:
    ATI montecarlo stock
    UTG tri-rail, (Opinions anyone?)
    Weaver mount with reflex,
    M44 muzzle brake,
    Side mounted lazer,
    Side mounted flashlight.
I felt this would be a nice little short range bolt rifle to have in my arsenal, as my 91/30 is a scout set up for long shots with a wood stock. All in all, I'd have to say the C&R license is awesome!

P.S. first pic is the 91/30 scout set up, second is the T53 note that all mods on it are not permanent and can be reversed to original condition1377220392478.jpg1377645277183.jpg

Nice, but why 95$ instead of $95?
