Is my colt cobra a square or a round butt?

I love my colt cobra but don't know alot about D-frame colts. I know it was made circa 1972-1973 and has the short grip frame, but how do I tell if its a square or round butt? I've posted a pic so you can see exactly what I'am referring to.

Think that is a S&W designation, not Colt

I may be wrong, but it is my impression that "round butt" and "square butt" apply to Smith & Wesson revolvers. Many of the shorter barrel S&W revolvers have the "round butt", which is easier to conceal, while the longer barrel revolvers generally have a square butt and a fuller grip, which may be better for target and hunting applications.

I think the D frame Colts only have one kind of grip, as shown in your picture of the Cobra. I have a Detective Special and it looks like yours with the grip panels removed.

Same, square and round were S&W terms, not colt.

    Nice looking firearm though.

Colt did offer a slightly rounded grip frame, they're not all the same, depends on the model and era.

The Cobra's were basically Dick Specials with an alloy frame.
