Passed on a case of 9mm

I went to the LGS, and they had 2 cases of UMC 9mm for $250 each. Sadly, I didn't have the money to buy a case, but it was nice to see them in stock.

How many rounds are considered in a case of UMC? 1000?

    25 cents a round...plus tax.
Not great...but mere availability is a step in the right direction.
I wonder if brass-cased 9mm will ever again drop below 20 cents a round.

$250 can get you a decent single stage reloading kit, save a hundred bucks more and you got yourself a nice turret or progressive kit!

Then enjoy 9mm at for under 10 cents a round.

Assuming you can find primers, powder and bullets.

Fortunately, I bought ahead around this time last year, but I've had no luck finding 9mm bullets at an affordable price (i.e., less than the 10 cents I pay per bullet for 200 gr .45).

At least there was some available. That bodes well for the future, for now.

I have no problems finding hard cast @ $60 for 1k shipped and I buy primer and powders from a brick and mortar Gander MTN.

I've been seeing Rem UMC for as low as 29 cents/rd for awhile. 25 cents/rd is a good deal. But I'm over stocked in 9mm range ammo for what I normally keep on-hand (and have been for sometime).

We saw some pretty good factory reloaded stuff at the gunshow, 115 gr, for $120/500, and I considered myself lucky. We got a nice metal ammo can with it. Shoots very well.
