I have a H&K P7 in excellent condition -- looks un- issued. No after market work except it wears Nil grips. I am not sure if my question is allowed on this Forum, or if it should be posted under another topic but here it is -- What would be a reasonable asking price for a pistol as described? Second question -- would you keep for appreciation or sell?
Gunbroker.com is your friend.
Will you replace it with something else, and if so, what.
Do you "have" to sell it.
Is this a hardship kind of thing. I.E. About to lose your home?
I say if you are selling because you can't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside, and want a different pistol, sell it.
If you have to sell it because of a divorce or the like, give her something else, so you can keep the HK.
If you are about to lose the house, what will you do next month for rent?
Might keep the gun and move somewhere else?
I would probably keep it. But none of my handguns are near worth $1000
I would rather die with good men than hide with cowards

It's not about hardship or having to sell it for what ever reason. I shoot it accurately but it has become more of a "safe queen". I was really asking whether it had long term value. If not I may as well sell it. Don't like to hold on to firearms . Rather shoot what I own.
