    Freaking Glocks - hopeless!

I swear I used to hate them, swore I'd never own one - no matter how popular they are, or what people say about em. Ugly, boring, 2x4 grip glocks .

Ok so I shot one, shoots great, easy to point on target - yaddy yaddy ya. Ok so maybe I could carry one, so maybe they carry REALLY well. But that's all they're good for!

Right? Oh crap, feel the chill of the darkside taking over me, whats happening?

I bought another freaking Glock - that makes 3, and this isn't a carry gun

I was in the market for a 17, just wanted a full size. But when I came across this gen 4 G34 with night sights for $550 - I jumped! I knew the 17 wouldn't be for carry anyways, so if I was going for full size, what's wrong with a little bigger. Ya, it only came with 2 mags - guess the guy sold or kept one but I think its still a good deal. Only has had 100 rnds through it. These Glocks, especially the gen 4's, are really starting to grow on me!
The stupidity of some people NEVER ceases to amaze me.

Just curious, why do people feel compelled to make threads like this?

Boring? Pre-2008 Glocks worked (for me) right out the box 100%
If that is what boring is, I like boring.

Glockaholics need our support group to help us acclimate to the idea that we just purchased yet one more ugly black, yet ultra reliable pistol... Plus, like with any firearm, the need to share is compelling.

You bought a Glock, and it's not for carry?

Oh, you're way sicker than even me!

    Also curious...

Why do the haters feel compelled to post in threads like this; much less clicking on "another Glock thread" in the first place?

    Oh well...

My last choice was a Glock. And that was a mistake. Id have saved lots of money on pistols had I bought one of them first.

Then again, the other pistols have been a pretty good investment, lol. A form of alternative savings plan, if you will.

Things I have learned: Glocks work. No matter how bad a gun it is, you can always sell a SIG. Think SIG Mosquito. No matter how good a STEYR is, good luck on getting your money back out of it. No one has heard of them. 1911s are/can be beautiful, feel great in ones hands, slim profile, and some people can make them work. And they cost lots more than Glocks. 45 ACP wont vaporize the BG, but some seem to think that 9mm will only tickle them to death.

A Gen4 G34 is a great addition to anyone's collection. If you ever decide to enter competitve shooting matches, you got it covered.
....and you CAN carry a G34...just need to find the right holster.

I never understood the Glock hate. I don't own one, but any gun that shoots accurately and works reliably is fine with me. I carried a Glock 19 for several years when I was a cop. There was nothing exciting about it, but it was a trustworthy tool, as was the Sig 226 that replaced it. So is the HK I carry now. I much prefer my 1911s for the range because they are a joy to shoot, but I haven't yet found the gun I hate....

I feel your pain, I was overcome with the same incurable, untreatable symptoms. I used to hate Glocks, err, bricks, as I used to refer to them. Then I picked up a Glock-36. I ended up selling off three of my Kimbers and now have six Glocks...I doubt that there is any hope for me.
    Ahhh, Glocks...

I spent several hours on Saturday researching my next 1911 purchase. I'm still looking for the perfect carry 45.

I narrowed it down to several alloy-framed, bob-tailed, commander-length models that still had at least 7 round magazines. Then I hefted my 24 oz (34 oz loaded with 10+1) G30SF, and closed out all of the web pages. Someday there might be a better carry 45 ACP for me, but that day is not here yet.
