Oregon concealed handgun licenses: Permits surge 22 percent since January | OregonLive.com
I'm not certain of this papers normal political leanings but this article is pretty positive. States that 1 in 15 adult Oregonians has a CHL. In Washington state it is 1 in 12 and in Idaho it is about 1 in 16. I was surprised the numbers were that high. In California it is 1 in 550. I wonder what percentage of them carry on any kind of regular basis?
Also commented on a study out of Texas that showed convictions by license holders made up less than .02 percent of the state's total convictions, not just gun related offenses. License holders were 1/13 as likely to commit any crime at all.
Same paper. Different articles. One is about CHL. The other is about personal stories of those with permits
I thought to myself I already made a response so what gives?
Oh well...I'm covered both ways right?
I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.
America...a Constitutional Republic. NOT a democracy as the liberals would have us believe.
