Guns & Ammo Tribute To Jeff Cooper

Just a heads up, the January 07 issue of Guns & Ammo Magazine has an extensive tribute to the late Lt. Col Jeff Cooper, including his last column and some truly outstanding photographs.

This issue is a keeper and is sure to become a collector's item.

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

    Thanks For The Info...

I am assuming that it is the Guns & Ammo Issue with the cover...The Complete Book of the Model 1911?

I'm not sure if my copy is the Jan '07 issue that you speak of...or is there another issue coming out? My magazine does not give a date on the cover...but it does have an article...pg 2...about Jeff Cooper, 1020 - 2006. It includes a couple of pictures, also.

    Stay safe!

No, this is not the Complete Book Of The Model 1911.

It is the regular monthly issue of Guns & Ammo Magazine.

It is a great tribute. Several editors, gun-writers, friends, and even Cooper's daughter pay tribute to him. I will miss his monthly column. I wish that Guns & Ammo would re-print his older columns and keep Cooper's Corner a monthly feature.
