There was an Aussie or New Zealand (can't remember which one now) SAS officer who was wounded in a fight in Afghanistan. He tied himself to the front of a vehicle so as not to get anybody exposed picking him up and continued to return fire as they backed him out of the area.

I just got that book from the library. I seen the preview to the movie and I thought, "I meant to read that book". 10 minutes later it's on the kindle. I don't know if this is a duh moment but those are not real people in that photo it seems it was for a film or something
