    Got another Hi-Power

I figured I had that Inglis, so it was only fair to my collection that I pick up one from "the other side".
From what I can tell this one was made in early 1943. It's all matching including the mag and shoots GREAT. I put ten rounds through it yesterday. The rear sight had been drifted way left and at 10 yds I fired seven shots that didn't hit the 3" target. I walked up and sure enough, I had a nice tight group a little high and a little left, so I moved up for the last three shots to about 3 yds. Considering it was dark and I could barely make out the front sight, I think it did pretty well.

And here's the pistol. It's got four waffenamts that I can see on the outside; the slide, frame, barrel and muzzle.

I need to pick up a nice commercial model for a shooter. I love this pistol. I feel a new addicction coming on

Ever since Beverly Hills Cop I loved these guns. When I was a Kid just from the name "HI Power" I used to think this gun had magical powers! No, I'm not joking. However it drove me crazy how he held it check out the pictures.

Thanks guys. I think I have found something that will rival my 1911 addiction. As a matter of fact, I just got back from the LGS where I transferred one of my Kimbers to a buddy. That money and me will be taking a drive here shortly where I know they have a couple C's on display The phone calls I just made produced pistols that should have been unlisted
I feel the need for another. I know I've read it here in the threads, but I can't believe how well this pistol fits me and shoots.

I have a stock for my Inglis, but this one isn't notched for one anyway.

You mis-titled your thread. You got another NECESSARY Hi-Power. I'm a pure BHP fan & that's a peach.

Well now I could call it "Two" High-Powers. I just got home with a 1976
And it's every bit as nice as the 74 and 76's I was looking at this morning online for 500 bucks more

Hey, while I've got you HP guys here, is their an internet source for the various commercial models?
The shop had two others there, both with adjustable sights, but the sights looked nothing alike as far as colors. One reminded me of a Millet sight from back in the eighties. I can't seem to find a site with the various models to tell what is stock and what might be aftermarket.

Not sure, but here's a good general guide to the HPs, by the late Stephen Camp:
