Progress on the range calculator - prototype boxed and software fully functional!!!

Well, fully functional for ranging. I haven't had much time to work on the bullet drop part yet, but it looks pretty complicated. Anyway, here's a short vid showing how it works in the 'phase 1' prototype stage, i.e. ranging only.

It will calculate range from MOA, MRAD, target size in inches, feet, yards, or meters, and display the range in yards or meters - user's choice:

So when you get rich with this gadget, are you going to send us all a gift for supporting you?

It would be nice to hear you hit it big.

Thanks guys! I doubt I'll hit it big with this - LOL too many people will accuse me of over-thinking the problem as it is.

But, "think" is what engineers are trained to do. Sometimes it solves problems; sometimes it doesn't.

I guess that doesn't get me off the hook about sending the gifts though does it???

Hmmm TX, I'm thinkin' I'm not in the same ball park with Nolan Ryan (couldn't resist).

    Thanks again guys.

I'm a long-time engineer - we have to know why.

In fact, on the last test I gave, I only asked one question, "Why?"

One student got a B for his answer, he answered, "Because."

Another student got an A - his answer - "Why not?"

    I'm kidding of course!
