What to buy a 1911 guy?
Hi All!
I hope I'm in the right forum. If not...please feel free to chastise me. Ha.
Okay...so I have a friend that is a 1911 kinda guy. I on the other hand, know nothing about those particular pistols or the "community" of 1911 aficionados. Can any of you offer any suggestions on an inexpensive gift he may enjoy?
Thanks in advance!

Wilson Combat magazines, Ammo, Cabella's has reproduction "US" holster, midwayusa has some good looking grips. I was tempted to order the James Godfrey grips my my 1911, there Ajax has some logo grips including the Eagle, Anchor, and Globe, and the other branches.

I am not sure 1911 and inexpensive are supposed to be in the same sentence!
You will have to give more info as to what you are looking for, like holsters maybe? You are in the holster and carry options section.
Some cool grips would be a good idea as well? I don't know I am just fishing but if it were me i would want to pick the item out myself as everyone is different in what they want. Gift certificate maybe?

Cheap gift for any gun nut? Quality magazines and practice ammo!
I wouldnt get grips unless I know the person want an exact one. I know if somebody bought me grips, and I didn't like them, I wouldn't put them on my handgun. Just a thought :)
Also, if you know exactly what the person uses to clean and care for their firearm, you could pick that stuff up cheap.

Shoot, I was just spitballing I know buying grips could be a risky venture if you didn't know what he liked but... ufda that did come across really bad.

Another one. Us 1911 guys can't get enough of a good thing.
I have 16 right now, hope to round it out to an even 20 by the end of next year.
Oops! I forgot you said inexpensive. Grips get my vote. There's nothin' purtier than a dressed up 1911, and they don't talk back to you either.

Thanks everybody for such a quick response to my question! Oh...and thank you, too, for moving me into the right forum!
I think I've decided on buying a few boxes of ammo for the guy.
Have a great Sunday and Happy Holidays!

Depends how "cheap" you want to be.
I'm a "1911" guy and I'd say some nice custom grips are the
best gift. You can spend a little or a HUGE amount, it's up to you.
